Concepts: The Message and Metaphor
For this project, I want to make it as a small website by using flash. In this small website, people can learn the information about heritage buildings and architecture in Chinese style and do some interactive things. The general idea is to give a introduction about heritage buildings and architecturein Chinese style. Then make people know more about some detials for several parts of heritage buildings by giving some examples. And make some kind of small games to let people try to practise the information they just learn. For the introduction and information parts, I won't make them like giving paragraphs and making users read. I try to make something like they can choose to learn which part by clicking the part of photos. So it won't be so boring for the users.
In one sentance, my concept is "Go and Pick it out".
Target Audience
I think all the users can get information from this small website. Now I just choose kids from 8 to 12 years old as my target audience. As this age of kids, they have the skill to read some paragraphs and get information from them. I want to make them learn something about heritage buildings and architecture, try to make them be interested in this. And when they have a trip to these kinds of heritage buildings, they can use their knowledge to understand the buildings. Try to make them not just ignore traditional things and treat them boring and guide them to get the beauty of heritage buildings.
